This is the Best Chocolate Chip Cookie. Ever. I have gone through a number of different chocolate chip cookie recipes, and found this one from Savory Sweet Life. This turned into my go-to chocolate chip cookie recipe. I am actually surprised that I didn’t post this recipe earlier. These cookies have nice crisp edge and a soft, chewy center. I could eat these cookies every day!
This recipe yields a lot of chocolate chip cookies, but that’s good because these are definitely cookies that will make you popular if you share them! One thing that makes this recipe stand out from others is the amount of brown sugar needed. It’s a lot.
Like most chocolate chip cookies, the first step is to cream the butter with the sugars.
I whipped the cookie dough until it got very fluffy and pale.
I added the eggs, one at a time, added the vanilla extract, and continued mixing everything for a couple more minutes.
The next addition was the sifted/whisked dry ingredients. I mixed only until the the dry ingredients were barely incorporated.
The final addition was the chocolate chips, because you can’t have chocolate chip cookies without them!
I scooped the dough out and added extra chocolate chips on top to make them a little more presentable. Bake until the edges get golden brown.
This recipe makes a lot of chocolate chip cookies. I opted to make my cookies smaller; the recipe says to drop 2 tablespoons of dough, but mine turned out to be about 3/4 tablespoons, instead. I adjusted my bake time to 9 minutes.

In the end, these cookies should end up with nice crispy edges with a chewy center, and taste a little a little caramely because of all of the brown sugar. The extra chocolate chips add a little more smoothness to the texture, too.
